Another Land Navigation Tip from your friendly Land Broker. Lots of Land folks use “qpublic.net/ga”  (Tax Assessor Website for Georgia) when searching for property owners or tracts of land. There is a very useful tool on the site. Although many Georgia Counties allow you to open an aerial photo layer in the website, there is also a link to Google Earth.

Following is the Google Earth View.

I always like to look at Google Earth, sometimes their aerial/satellite imagery is more current and when looking at LAND, current photography is critical. For example, I was provided an aerial of a nice tract of land and when I arrived on site the timber had been cut….a recent photograph would have shown the recent timber harvest.  Also this shape file can be emailed and opened on a smart phone or tablet so you can navigate around the property! Take advantage of all the great technology and imagery out there.
